Out of all the books I read in 2019, my favorites are, Cyclone by Doreen Cronin, Unbroken: An Olympian’s Journey from Airman to Castaway to Captive by Laura Hillenbrand (young Adults Version), Chomp by Carl Hiaasen, Breakout by Kate Messner, and The Missing Piece of Charlie O’Reilly by Rebecca K.S. Ansari. I preferred Cyclone the best because even though I didn’t relate to the book at all, it was a page turner from the perspective of Nora, (the main character of Cyclone). This book was so captivating because the reader would have a good inference of how Nora was feeling everytime they read, but the reader would never know what will happen to Nora’s cousin, Riley next. The next book that I loved was, Unbroken: An Olympian’s Journey from Airman to Castaway to Captive by Laura Hillenbrand (young Adults Version). I also liked how this book was very suspenseful like Cyclone, but I also had to appreciate that it was a true story. In this book I liked that there were different episodes inside the story, and how most episodes were all about surviving. Next, I enjoyed the book Chomp because it was very amusing but also action packed in its own way. I liked how the book took place in Florida and how the plot revolved around the environment. What made this book action packed, but also funny was Expedition Survival and how fake the show is. I also enjoyed the book Breakout by Kate Messner because it was written in different letters, text messages, and much more, but every piece of writing could be from a different character. The last book on my top 5 list was The Missing Piece of Charlie O’Reilly by Rebecca K.S. Ansari. This book was very different than the other books and was very mysterious considering the plot of the book because there were many strange surprises near the end that shocked me.
