My name is Camille and we need to read and I believe we can create a reading movement. Here at Hopewell 6th graders have a culture of reader initiative to help inspire kids to read. Reading can be underrated sometimes, but we need to fix that. Lots of books have lots of potential and could be life changing to you, and if you read them they can open your eyes to a new perspective. If you are not a passionate reader let me help you start your reading story. My reading story starts a couple of years ago with teachers Ms. Brandmeyer and Ms. Cambell when they had us make lists including books we wanted to read on them. The list moved me to read all of the books on it, and I did! When I was reading the books on the list I discovered my passion for reading! Reading these books made me appreciate reading even more and let me find my favorite books and authors! If Ms. Brandmeyer and Ms. Cambell did not have us create lists and book recommendations to put on them I could have maybe never found the books I adore. Even before this time in my life lots of teachers gave me great book ideas, but this time was when reading got stuck to me. I want other students to read my blog so they can get a variety of book ideas from me and start to love and connect to reading as much as I do now.
